A Wellness Creator's Audio Guide That Outperformed Her Course
A wellness YouTuber with 85K subscribers launched a guided meditation audio product that generated $12,000 in its first quarter.
The Challenge
This wellness creator wanted to create a product but felt overwhelmed by the idea of building a full course. She didn't realize her voice and meditation guidance were themselves a valuable product.
The Solution
Publish Care produced a 21-day guided meditation audio program, complete with professionally recorded sessions, background music, and a companion journal.
Process
Concept Development
We identified that her audience wanted guided meditation, not a course. A 21-day audio program was the perfect format.
Script Writing
Our team wrote 21 guided meditation scripts tailored to her voice and philosophy.
Professional Recording
We produced the audio with professional voice recording, background music, and mastering.
Companion Journal
We designed a companion reflection journal to enhance the audio experience and increase perceived value.
"I never thought my voice could be a product. Publish Care showed me that audio guides were exactly what my audience wantedβand they were right."
Aria had been creating wellness content on YouTube for 3 years and had built a loyal following of 85K subscribers. Her meditation and mindfulness videos consistently outperformed her other content, with viewers regularly commenting that they used her videos to fall asleep, manage anxiety, or start their mornings. She wanted to create a product but felt overwhelmed by the idea of building a full course β the production complexity, the video editing, the platform setup. She didn't realize that her voice and meditation guidance were themselves a valuable product format, and that audio products were both less competitive and easier to produce than video courses.
The Audio Opportunity
We identified that Aria's audience loved her calming voice and meditation guidance. Her meditation videos had 3x the average watch time of her other content, and comments consistently mentioned wanting meditations they could use without watching a video β while walking, commuting, or lying in bed with eyes closed. A 21-day guided meditation audio program was a much better fit than a course: it served the exact need her audience was expressing, it was less competitive than the crowded course market, and it leveraged her unique strength (her voice) rather than requiring skills she didn't have (video production).
The 21-day format was strategic. Three weeks is long enough to build a meditation habit but short enough to feel achievable. It creates a clear start and end date, which drives completion rates and generates reviews and word-of-mouth from people who finish the program. Each day builds on the last β starting with foundational breathing techniques and progressing to more advanced meditation practices.
Production
We wrote 21 meditation scripts tailored to Aria's voice, philosophy, and teaching style. Each script was 10-15 minutes long and followed a specific theme: Day 1 was "Finding Your Breath," Day 7 was "Releasing Tension," Day 14 was "Cultivating Gratitude," and Day 21 was "Integration and Continuation." We produced the audio with professional voice recording, background music composed specifically for meditation, and professional mastering for a premium listening experience.
We also designed a companion reflection journal β a 42-page workbook with daily reflection prompts, mood tracking, and space for journaling after each session. The journal increased the product's perceived value and price point from $29 (audio alone) to $39 (audio + journal). This companion strategy is one of the most effective ways to increase average order value β the audio provides the experience, and the journal provides the integration tool.
The Results
The program generated $12,000 in its first quarter and continues to sell steadily at $39 per copy. Aria spent less than 5 hours on the project β she reviewed the scripts, recorded an introductory video, and approved the final product. Everything else was handled by Publish Care. The program has generated over $35,000 in its first year and has become Aria's most reliable revenue stream, selling consistently month after month without any additional promotion.
The audio format gave Aria a competitive advantage. While hundreds of wellness creators compete in the ebook and course markets, very few offer professionally produced audio programs. This less competitive format, combined with Aria's unique voice and the companion journal, created a product that stands out in a crowded wellness market. She's now planning a second audio program β a 14-day sleep stories collection β targeting a different segment of her audience.
